Item 8.01 | Other Events. |
As part of the Companys annual impairment review of goodwill and other intangible assets, the Company estimates that it will record a pre-tax non-cash goodwill and other intangible assets impairment charge of approximately $70 million in the fourth quarter of 2008 relating to operations in the Other Businesses and Corporate Office segment. On an after-tax basis, the impact is estimated at $67 million. The Company determined that the estimated fair value of its online lead generation business is less than the reported carrying value.
